In law firms, we often measure the wrong things. In the hustle and bustle of daily life, we get so obsessed with certain numbers that we often forget what we must truly focus on. Of course, the things we do obsess about - revenue and billable hours - are important. But they are end-of-the-day measures, "results measures" - what-happens-because-other-things-happened measures.
