The learning family - an approach to family development (Part 1 of 2)
The International Family Offices Journal
Vol. 3 - Iss. 4 pp. 46–56
Jun 2019
In this thought-provoking article, Matt Wesley studies families who thrive for multiple generations. One of the key factors to their success, he finds, is their capacity to adapt. Describing them as families who have "an ability to grow, develop and evolve together in the midst of changing and challenging circumstances", Matt concludes that these families could be understood as "learning families". The two-part article in this issue and the next explores the underlying characteristics and practices of these families.
