During the lifetime of a millennial, the pace of technological advancement has been relentless. Moving from a dial-up internet connection to having high-speed broadband in the palm of one's hand has fundamentally altered how people, work, socialise and live. Smartphones and tablet computers have shifted how people interact with technology in their daily lives, allowing us to be connected at all times. This ?always connected' lifestyle has pushed the exponential growth of social media and messaging applications. Social media has altered the way people interact and there is almost an assumption now (at least among millennials) that anyone you may meet will have a Facebook account.
