The impact of coaching on executive roles has increased and many lawyers are now benefiting from this. Sarah Martin is a programme director and leadership coach at Said Business School who has extensive experience in coaching lawyers. She explores some of the specific coaching challenges for lawyers which include collaboration and teamwork, developing others, delegation, and difficult conversations. In this article she gives specific examples of how she has approached the challenge of coaching lawyers - many of whom are highly sceptical about coaching - and how the right approach can achieve significant results.
