Less than a year ago, most office workers commuted into their offices on crowded trains or in heavy traffic. Some already worked from home for part of the time; a few worked entirely from home. Working from home was seen as a special case, and many law firms maintained you couldn't really meet your clients' expectations if half your workforce wasn't in the office. And then, suddenly, in March 2020, all that changed.
