In former times - before Covid-19 - we used to talk about contingency planning. In that long-ago ?business world', contingency planning would have considered such events as a 10% increase or decrease in sales revenue as monumental. What Covid did to all businesses and certainly to law firms was that it made that contingency planning very much in realtime. The agility of a law firm to make quick decisions was brought into focus in March 2020 and the uncertain demand for all law firm services in the period since means that all management teams have had to refocus and continually revise all forecasts and associated decision-making.
