In 2007 I made the decision to start my own business. Some may say it was a brave if not bold decision, but I stepped away from an equity partnership, the pinnacle you may think of a career that saw me working in global businesses and for regional law firms. It was risky, effectively reinventing my career, and relying not just on my reputation as an employment lawyer, but also becoming an entrepreneur, a business owner, and ultimately a leader. Eleven years later, I can say that the risk has paid off and I now own a group of four successful companies, with offices across the south east of England.
