When asking lawyers about what constitutes success, you'll likely get a variety of answers. "Winning more work" is probably high on the list. "Delivering excellent service" is another. Perhaps making partner, satisfying a client, and achieving internal recognition are all good examples. This issue looks at some of the other ways by which success can be defined. For example, a long, rewarding career, and in particular the flexibility to understand that career trajectories rarely run along a straight line.
