Due to the large scale of unexpected events caused by the pandemic and its aftermath, including higher levels of uncertainty in the financial markets and looming recession predictions, many law firm leaders faced and continue to face unprecedented challenges in managing their employees, their partners, and their firms. To overcome these challenges, leaders could no longer wait for the situation to settle. Moreover, mastering crisis management in the time of a pandemic required a "quick decision" leadership style. Thus, today the newfound capability to make rapid decisions in exceptional circumstances is helping law firm leaders and management committees make more human-centric and radically driven plans.
